Bitter Yet Sweet.

I have to update you all on the adventures in WA.

As you all know we closed on our land on friday. Chanel's Dad went up friday night and slept on our property. He woke up in the morning and killed a young bull Elk RIGHT ON MY PROPERTY. The property does sit up pretty high on a large mountain. I thought it was so cool he did it. The only bad thing, I haven't gotten one yet. But I did get a little whitetail last thursday. Made him into hamburger yesterday...

Eenie Meenie Miney Moe.

Well We did not end up getting the land I blogged about previously. Instead I went for the land below. It is 7.5 miles from town and way way more building friendly. Here are a few Pictures of it.

What to do about Land?

We have been looking for some land to build a house on since we got here. Land prices up here in the Colville area are way out of control. I'd say that they are 40-60 percent above market.

Once in a while we see a piece of land here or there that we just love but it is usually too small and overpriced.

We have been looking at a piece of land 14 miles north of Colville and it is gorgeous. The price is not as bad as most of the other stuff in the area either. Here are some pictures of it.

chanel's first climb with me.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to take Chanel up Rattlesnake Mountain with me. I go up there all the time to look for Deer to take pictures of and of course for the view. Well Chanel almost never gets to go out with me and ride cause she is busy with the kids, but Her mom was up for the local ciderfest and we took about an hour to go up on the mountain. Here is a picture of her up on top of one of my favorite view areas. We're at about 2750' at that spot. Considering we are looking for land at 3000' it looks great to me...

Headaches Suck

Yesterday I had a migraine headache. They suck. I stayed home from church and just took it easy. I do not know why I get them. I have been getting them every fall for as long as I can remember. The spell usually lasts 2-4 weeks and I get one almost every day. So by about 4 pm yesterday my brain felt normal again.

I hate migraines.
